The next block of Be Well + sessions run throughout June/July in Possilpark and Springburn starting next week. All sessions are free - no need to book, simply drop in! Held in Springburn Library and Possilpark Library, each session is a stepping stone to greater confidence, connection, and opportunity. With tailored support and pathways into wider Glasgow Life services, Be Well offers more than just a programme, it opens doors to a healthier, more connected future. Partick Thistle Charitable Trust is hosting football sessions for all ages over the summer. Girls/Women’s Recreational Football is starting on Sunday 28th June 3pm-5pm (6 weeks). This session is for girls or women and is open to any age groups and abilities. Sessions will be ran in partnership with Partick Thistle Women and will be led by qualified female coaches. Sign-up is available now via https://ptct.classforkids.io/camp/73 or sign up on the day at the front desk of Petershill Park. Walking Football will restart on Friday 26th June between 1pm-3pm (6 weeks). Free football session for one hour, with tea/coffee and biscuits for participants to have a blether after the session. Sign up at main reception of Petershill Park, all welcome. Free Fitba for All sessions start in August. This session will offer free football on a Saturday, aiming to get young people out of trouble and engaged in organised sporting activity. Looking for something a bit different this weekend? Yorkhill Fire Station is opening their doors to the public Sat 13 June 10am - 2pm. Face painting, raffles, tuck shop, baked goods and other activities will all be happening on the day. Plus: -Meet firefighters and learn more about the frontline equipment used to keep the community safe -explore the fire engines and see the specialised gear used -Meet members of Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service (showcasing their own vehicles and equipment) -Live demonstration of a simulated road traffic collision / use of a High Reach appliance
