Growing our team - ng homes is seeking Energy Advisors to support tenants
It is a really challenging and worrying time for everyone. Costs seem to be going up endlessly and every penny counts. We are working hard here at ng homes to ensure that we can offer support and advice to tenants and residents.
We are delighted to announce ng homes, a leading housing association in Glasgow, has been granted funding from the Scottish Government's Fuel Support Fund to expand our efforts in providing support to tenants, particularly in line with the fuel and cost-of-living crisis.
In line with this, ng homes is now actively recruiting Energy Advisors to assist tenants reduce their expenditure on household energy and provide fuel debt support and advice. You will also facilitate energy top-ups using the HEAT/Home Energy Scotland portal and support tenants with complex and long standing issues.
The postholder will work closely with our Housing Officers to streamline the energy support and advice to tenants and provide energy saving advice and information though our media channels.
You will also be involved in organising and delivering community information events with key partners and outreach work as required.
We'd love to hear from you if you have experience of working on energy advice programmes and dealing with utility companies and have a proven track record in dealing with the public. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this post.
