Join Pollok Credit Union for money management workshops in North Glasgow. These workshops aim to enhance your understanding of money management and equip you with essential budgeting skills.
Whether you're looking to save for a big purchase, plan for your future, or simply get a better grasp on your monthly expenses, these sessions offer practical advice and hands-on learning experiences.
The workshops are open to everyone. Sessions will cover:
- Saving on a budget – This would look at the importance of saving in becoming financially resilient and how saving a little soon grows. It will take about where you can save and how protected your savings are.
- Affordable credit – Understanding interest rates and options available, how your credit score affects what rates you get offered and how to check and build your credit score.
- Cooking on a budget – This would look at how to cook on a budget giving practical ideas and simple recipes that participants can follow for nutritious, healthy and filling meals.
- Dealing with Debt – options available for dealing with your debt, where to go if you have debt problems, hints and tips for dealing with creditors and what happens if you can’t pay your debts and what options are available.
- What are Credit Unions? Sign up and manage credit union accounts. This session will help you understand how to sign up to credit union accounts, talk about the benefits of having a credit union accounts, and give a background to credit unions in general and Pollok Credit Union in particular.
