ng homes offers energy assistance to tenants through new partnership
ng homes is pleased to announce a new partnership with The Wise Group to provide energy advice to tenants.
The partnership offers ng homes tenants access to a wide range of services, including assistance with billing issues, applying for funding to help with energy debt, switching energy suppliers, and obtaining accurate meter readings. Additionally, tenants can receive guidance on applying for the Warm Home Discount as well as energy-saving advice to help reduce energy consumption and lower utility costs.
“We are thrilled to join forces with The Wise Group to offer this valuable energy advice service to our tenants” said ng homes Chair Catherine Rossine. “Winter can bring many challenges and we are keen to share this new opportunity for tenants to access support and advice for any gas and electricity questions they may have.”
“We are pleased to be able to have this partnership in place, with many continuing to feeling the effects of the cost-of-living crisis and high energy costs. I would encourage any of our tenants with concerns or queries regarding their electricity costs or usage to get in touch.”
Since launching in late 2023, the energy advice service has received lots of positive feedback including:
- “My debt to Scottish Power had been causing me so much stress, thank you for all your help” and
- “I was just about to run out of credit in my meter and this voucher has helped out a lot.”
Alison Anderson, HEAT Mentor at The Wise Group, attended ng homes’ December Community Information and Advice Day at Saracen House. She added “It was great getting to meet so many tenants and residents who turned up on the (Community Information) day and to be able to help many of you with queries, issues, and energy support vouchers.”
“We have lots of resources available to help any questions ng homes tenants may have regarding their gas and electricity. We can also provide energy saving advice and signpost to other organisations who may be able to help.”
