Springburn Week of Action - Lenzie Area
Glasgow City Council and partners will be hosting a 'Week of Action' beginning Monday 24 April 2023 covering the following areas in North Glasgow:
- Galloway Street
- Lenzie Terrace
- Viewpoint Place/Road
- Lenzie Place
- Lenzie Way
- Cairn Street
Residents will receive a letter from Glasgow City Council outlining plans for the week which include:
- Community Enforcement Officers inspecting the area and issuing fixed penalties (dog fouling/littering)
- General maintenance of parks, including cutting back of overgrown weeds and shrubs
- Street lighting inspections
- Graffiti removal - and more.
What's planned?
A community litter pick is planned for Wednesday 26 April from 10.30-12.30pm starting from Springburn Academy.
A community drop-in will be held at the end of Lenzie Terrace/Lenzie Way from 1pm-3.30pm - staff from the Glasgow City Council Neighbourhood Regeneration and Sustainability team, ng homes and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) will be on hand. There will be an opportunity to speak about the local environment and any concerns as well as to get more information on services.
A bicycle maintenance workshop with Dr Bike is planned for Wednesday 26 April between 1-3pm.
Glasgow City Council are also looking to hear from local residents about their interest in participating in a local Residents Group to help improve and sustain the local area.
