Updates on Springburn Incident
Final update - Petershill Road area, Springburn
21 April 2023
The situation in Springburn has been fully cleared - all tenants have now had the opportunity to return home and all cordons and road closures have been lifted.
ng homes is liaising directly with any tenants who may require further support.
Update 20 April 2023
Following the incident in Springburn, most tenants have now returned home, and area road closures have been lifted.

Update 19 April 2023, 4:15pm
Police Scotland remain in charge of the Petershill Road area at this time – ng homes is expecting a further update early evening (19 April).
Springburn Leisure Centre is available to any tenants or owners who stay in a property within the evacuation area – hot food, tea, coffee, and light refreshments are available as well as hygiene products.
Glasgow City Council staff are on hand at the Springburn Leisure Centre to provide support and assistance.
We will continue to update this page as/when we receive further updates.
Ongoing Incident – Petershill Road area, Springburn
Update 19 April 2023
The situation in Springburn remains an ongoing incident under the control of Police Scotland. Road closures remain in place in the Petershill Road area – further investigations are being carried out this morning under the instruction of Police Scotland.
Springburn Leisure Centre will continue to be available to any tenants or owners who stay in a property within the evacuation area – hot food, tea, coffee, and light refreshments are available as well as hygiene products. Glasgow City Council staff are on hand at the Springburn Leisure Centre to provide support and assistance.
Further updates from Police Scotland/Glasgow City Council are expected later today and we will continue to update this page as and when we receive them.
Update 18 April 2023
As you may be aware, a police incident took place on Monday 17 April 2023 in the Petershill Road area of Springburn. Please note this remains an ongoing incident – and road closures remain in place at this time in the area.
We (ng homes) are liaising with our partners at Police Scotland and Glasgow City Council who are leading on the response.
Springburn Leisure Centre is open for any tenants or owners who stay in a property within the evacuation area – tea, coffee, and refreshments are available at the centre for anyone who requires a place to stay at this time.
Glasgow City Council staff are on hand at the Springburn Leisure Centre to provide support and assistance.
Updates from Police Scotland/Glasgow City Council are expected later today and we will update this page as and when we receive it.
