Local Hero Wallace the Fire Dog Remembered in North Glasgow celebration

A special celebration was held at Saracen House to remember Wallace the Fire Dog, a local hero adopted by Glasgow firemen in 1894. The event marked the unveiling of a new sculpture of Wallace and highlighted plans to bring attention to his place in Glasgow's heritage.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) have published firework safety advice to keep you safe ahead of bonfire night on 5th November. With many organised public events cancelled due to Covid-19, people may be considering hosting their own fireworks display.
