Supporting and connecting the community with Lottery funding

ng homes continues to work closely with the community, housing staff and community partners to help those in need with pre-loved good quality furniture and furnishings.

Working closely with local partners, the Community Regeneration team have helped connect tenants with additional support such as accessing refurbished computers, energy top ups and guidance with opening credit union accounts.

The partners meet up regularly through their community networking breakfast programme and other events.

Paula Mailey, ng homes' Community Resilience Officer for the project, works closely with community members and helps connect them up to other services for ongoing support.

Paula said “The local community are facing so many difficult challenges and we receive many requests for help. By working closely together, we can offer the extra support that could really make a difference to someone’s life.”

Giving back - Donate your pre-loved furniture!

The team are always on the lookout for good quality furniture or furnishings - if you have items that you no longer need or have space for, you can donate these to the community furniture redistribution project.
